Regional Manager (India & South Asia) - Aftermarket Services

Location: Vadodara, Gujarat, India

Summary/Objective

The Business Line Manager will be responsible for overseeing a diverse team across various
departments, including a commercial team made up of inside proposal managers and outside business
development managers, as well as an operations team comprising of an operations manager, field
services, technical support, and workshop operations. This role requires a dynamic leader with excellent
commercial and operational acumen.
The Regional Business Manager will have full P&L responsibility for the region, ensuring financial targets
and objectives are met. This will involve strategic planning, budget management, and cost control. The
successful candidate will be expected to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence
throughout the region by developing and implementing effective business strategies and practices. The
role requires strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development, performance management,
and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
In addition, the Regional Business Manager will be responsible for maintaining high customer
satisfaction levels, ensuring the team delivers quality and timely services. This role demands a solution driven professional with excellent communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with
clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning and Execution: The Business Line Manager (BLM) is responsible for
developing and implementing the regional business strategy, setting objectives, and creating
action plans to achieve these goals.
• Profit and Loss (P&L) Management: Holds full P&L responsibilities, which includes monitoring
financial performance, managing costs, and identifying opportunities for improving profitability.
• Revenue Growth and Profitability: Tasked with driving revenue growth and increasing
profitability by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, expanding the
customer base, and increasing sales volume.
• Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to understand competitive landscape,
customer needs, and market trends to make informed business decisions and develop effective
strategies.
• Pricing Strategy: Responsible for ensuring pricing is market-based and competitive, while also
maximizing profitability goals.
• Team Leadership: Provide leadership to the regional sales and operations teams, setting targets,
and ensuring team members have the resources and support necessary to achieve their goals.
• Sales Management: Oversee both inside and outside sales activities, working closely with the
Regional Sales Manager to drive sales performance.
• Operations Management: Responsible for overseeing operations, working with the Operations
Manager to ensure efficiency in field service, technical support, and workshop operations.
• Customer Relationship Management: Foster the development and maintenance of strong
relationships with key customers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on regional performance, utilizing key
performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against objectives.
• Talent Development: Responsible for the development and performance of the regional team,
providing coaching, feedback, and training to develop skills and enhance performance.
• Compliance: Ensure all business operations and activities comply with relevant laws, regulations,
and company policies.

Work Environment
Work primarily in global office environments at Company and customer sites as well as shop
environments as needed.

Education
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field
from an accredited institution.
• Advanced degree such as a master’s in business administration (MBA) is highly desirable.
• Specialized coursework in areas such as project management, marketing, or finance is also
advantageous.

Experience
• A minimum of 5 years of management experience in a related field. The candidate should have
demonstrated leadership skills, a proven track record of managing a team, and the ability to
inspire and motivate. Previous experience in overseeing a business unit or a significant
department within a larger organization will be highly regarded.
• Extensive experience in sales, marketing, or related field with a comprehensive understanding of
business development strategies. Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing
strategic business plans.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics and customer relationship management. Previous
experience in identifying new market opportunities and defining strategies to target them
effectively.
• Strong negotiation skills with a knack for closing business deals. Prior experience in dealing with
high-level negotiations and managing vendor relationships would be an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build and maintain
strong professional relationships. Previous experience in working in a multi-cultural
environment and managing remote teams would be a plus.
• Proficiency in business software, including Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems. Prior
experience in using business intelligence tools for data analysis would be highly desirable.
• Extensive experience in the relevant industry and a good understanding of regional laws and
regulations.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, team management, and other businessrelated
tasks.
