Finance Controller

Location: Vadodara, Gujarat, India

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is a leading provider of cryogenic pumps, fueling stations, heat exchangers, process systems, turboexpanders, services, and solutions for the liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied hydrogen (LH2), and industrial gases industries. Summary/Objective:

As the Financial Controller, your role is vital in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, managing the budgeting, and forecasting processes, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth and profitability goals.

Team: Shared Services, NCIPL

Direct reports: Finance Team

Key relationships: NCIPL Leadership Team, Cosmodyne Finance Team

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to senior management regarding financial performance.
• Prepare comprehensive and detail Product line and Function Unit reporting that includes actuals, budget, and forecasts.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Lead the annual budgeting process by collaborating with department heads and executive management to develop financial plans and targets.
• Prepare periodic forecasts to assess performance against budget and identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Provide financial guidance and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
3. Internal Controls and Compliance:
• Establish and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, working closely with auditors to address findings and implement necessary improvements.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations and standards to ensure compliance and recommend necessary adjustments to financial practices.
4. Financial Operations Management:
• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital to support operational needs.
• Implement and maintain financial systems, processes, and controls to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
5. Strategic Financial Planning
• Collaborate with executive management to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
• Conduct financial analysis and modelling to evaluate investment opportunities, capital expenditures, and potential acquisitions.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on financial performance, risk management, and cost optimization.
6. Team Leadership and Development:
• Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment, promoting cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications and Skills:

Essential:
• A Chartered Accountancy qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in management of a finance team in a similar business or industry.
• Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial management role within a similar business or industry.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards applicable to the industry.
Advantages:
