Graduate Sales Engineer

Location: Dandenong South, VIC, Australia

Position Summary

In pursuit of continuously expanding our global presence and market share within the clean energy & Industrial gas industry, Nikkiso is looking for talented Engineers who are willing to learn and work together with other team members to offer a complete package for our customers.

Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Business Development Manager, we have a rare opportunity for an agile and innovative Graduate Applications Engineer to join our high performing Australian operations.

This role provides real opportunity to design engineered systems, pull together costing and interact with customers.

Travelling within the region and possibly SEA will be part of the job.

Training will be provided to nurture and grow the candidate’s potential.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities

  • Customer development including travel to customer location and project sites
  • Increase sales for equipment and systems to existing and new customers
  • Process design (both fluid and heat transfer) to create the most efficient and cost-effective solution for the customer
  • Proposal creation adhering to the technical specifications and unique problem statements
  • Attention to detail in technical specification review and properly identifying the applicable requirements, taking exception to those that don’t apply.
  • Project Management
  • Coordinate with local Business Development and/or Product Managers to cover the Industrial Gas Market globally

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones. This role does involve visiting the manufacturing floor on occasion for visability on product completion and research.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Competencies:

Knowledge of thermal and fluid engineering concepts, equipment knowledge, problem solving skills, detailed oriented, results driven, organizational skills, group work efficiency, technical aptitude of systems, software (Autocad) is a plus, personable, strong communication and people skills.

Support Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with internal groups including Engineering, Procurement, and Production for proper proposal and project execution
  • Provides assistance for dynamic system calculations, including heat loads, temperature swings, etc... for project execution
  • Assists with project cost analysis and monitoring to maintain project budget
  • Assists with developing and implementing test procedures for internal FAT's / Functional tests
