Sales Manager North America

Position Summary:
The individual entrusted with holding this position will be responsible for the North America sales, marketing strategy, and execution for the Nikkiso Energy Infrastructure & Strategic Projects (NESP) Functional Unit. The Regional Sales Manager North America will be directly responsible for developing, implementing, and executing sales strategies. As a member of the leadership team, the individual in this position is also responsible for creating a culture of success by supporting ongoing business goals for sales and managing a team of professionals while consistently delivering customer service excellence at every level of interaction internally and externally.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute a North America business plan, including budget and sales strategy that maximizes volume and ensures attainment of profitable sales goals and growth in line with NESP Unit expectations and objectives.
  • Attain yearly bookings growth aligned with Unit and CE&IG strategy.
  • Promote and sell all NESP products: Engineering services, CO2 Plants, turnkey air separation plants and liquefiers, marine fuel gas supply systems, Organic Rankine Cycle plants and systems, and hydrogen plants to all existing and new customers.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans and sales campaigns in target markets and customers,
  • Maintain and develop effective, working customer relationships with all customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base.
  • Develop existing and build new customer relationships ensuring Nikkiso is seen as a long-term business partner.
  • Develop relationships across a broad range of disciplines in target accounts to support account development and growth.
  • Create RFP responses and conduct proposal presentations.
  • Evaluate needs and negotiate successful contracts directly with key accounts or indirectly with Third Party Service Providers, suppliers, partner companies, and internal departments subject to designation of authority.
  • Present new product developments and business strategies to customer base.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training and educational programs for customers.
  • Promotion of Customer Focus throughout the organization.
  • Document sales processes and procedures.
  • Attend and present at Business Review Meetings and Business Board Meetings.
  • Understand and leverage global industry market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to meet goals and objectives.
  • Own and drive the successful implementation of Salesforce CRM.
  • Work with regional leads to implement relevant sales incentive plans.
  • Document sales processes and procedures.
  • Develop own annual global overhead budget.
  • Collaborate regularly with Business Line Managers, global Sales Leaders, and Product Managers to achieve goals and objectives. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Location: Irvine, CA or Houston, TX or remote
  • In order to perform the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Overtime may be necessary as the workload dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
  • Ability to lift to 40 lbs. may be required.
  • Job will generally be performed in an office environment but may require extensive international travel to a client's office, production facility or industrial/construction job site. Extensive periods of sitting and standing during meetings, presentations and travel may be necessary. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.

Experience and Education:

  • A minimum of 10 years of senior sales leadership experience within the oil & gas, cryogenic and/or process rotating equipment industry is required.
  • A proven track record of overachieving sales targets, forecasting, strategic planning, budgeting.
  • Proven experience developing teams for sales and business development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or Business with relevant work experience.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing/engineering environment is strongly preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of experience and skills may be considered.

Annual Salary:
$92,566 to $175,914
