Job Overview:
Nikkiso Clean Energy and Industrial Gases (NCEIG) seeks a Quality Engineer to contribute to the development and execution of our business plan and long-term growth strategy. In this exciting role, the Quality Engineer aims to establish strategies and systems to execute the corporate quality goals and objectives to ensure conformance with corporate initiatives. This position leads the development and implementation of company-wide quality policies to meet corporate, national, and international standards.

This position reports to the Corporate Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality Director. The Quality Engineer supports all sites in developing and implementing world-class quality programs within the organization.

Ideally, this position would be in Seal Beach, California. Remote candidates in the United States who are within commuting distance from a US Nikkiso site are also an option.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with defining strategic direction for quality by establishing performance targets to ensure adherence to corporate-wide quality policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality policies in compliance with regulations, industry-specific standards, and guidelines. This includes staying abreast of regulatory changes and updating policies accordingly.
  • Promote a proactive quality culture using key performance indicators, training programs, and a communication strategy that strengthens NCEIG’s continued commitment to quality.
  • Responsible for collaborating with other NCEIG sites to promote quality to continuously improve quality performance.
  • Responsible for driving results through managing corporate key performance metrics, focused data analysis, and timely reporting of results.
  • Assist in developing a best-in-class integrated management system, including standards, programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Partner with sites to harmonize and implement a network-wide integrated management system, adjusting as needed to meet local requirements.
  • Assist site Quality Leads in integrating safety and quality assurance activities to ensure that safety considerations are integrated into quality control processes by identifying potential safety hazards in products or processes and implementing measures to mitigate those risks.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience leading quality programs, including supplier quality management, risk mitigation, corrective action resolution, or customer satisfaction.
  • Five to seven years of experience working with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deployment and implementation of quality programs and initiatives across a multinational organization.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment or oil/gas.
  • Proven technical, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and training skills.
  • Collaborative leadership style, sound judgment, and not being afraid to roll up your sleeves to achieve goals and deliver solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Technical training and experience in using Lean methodologies and Six Sigma.
  • Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt is preferable.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or ISO 50001 is preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.

Annual Salary: $78,337 to $143,551
