Electrician

Location: Escondido, CA, United States

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is a leading provider of cryogenic pumps, fueling stations, heat exchangers, process systems, turboexpanders, services, and solutions for the liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied hydrogen (LH2), and industrial gases industries. Nikkiso Fueling & Solutions (NFS) is looking for an Electrician to work on various aspects related to the manufacturing of custom automation panels, including wiring building, labeling, panel layout and setup, panel wiring, running cables and wires, as well as mounting and wiring electrical devices. This job requires some knowledge of panel assembly and the Electrian should have a good background in wiring, knowledge in parts, and working with all tools related to the position. This is a physical position so the applicant must be able to work on their feet for long periods of time and able to lift at least fifty pounds.

Electrician - Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read schematics and drawings and have a good understanding of electrical and electronic symbols.
  • Layout panel designs based on drawings from engineers.
  • Fabrication and assembly of electric panel enclosers.
  • Layout and mounting of components.
  • Terminate conductors per wiring diagram including labeling and harness development.
  • Fabrication of custom brackets and bracing for components as required.
  • Running cables and pulling wire.
  • Prepare finished control panels for shipment.

Physical Abilities:

  • Ability to stand at an oversized table most of the day.
  • Ability to lean over table to complete build of center areas of the panel.
  • Ability to maneuver through shop area safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladder and work on ladders.
  • Ability to use hand tools and test instruments.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Commercial Electrial Experience.
  • Low voltage experience.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Interpreting wire diagrams and shop drawings.
  • Operating shop equipment and hand tools to cut, drill, tap and mount components.
  • Strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in panel building and assembly.
  • Certificate or Associates degree in electrical systems.
  • Understanding of industrial control systems and products.
  • Commerical and low voltage electrical experience.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and PLC programming.

We require construction trades to be willing and able to support multiple construction trade activities. The ideal candidate will need to support shop fabrication in Escondido, CA. and travel may be required.

Salary
